A bunch of giant insects who are blind and hunt by sound are eating everyone. We're focused on a rural family surviving on their farm who somehow have functioning electricity well into a year of this. It is kind of cool how the story is told with little dialogue and focused on noises, but the end resolution seems too simple for someone else to not have thought of way earlier, let alone when the character who stumbles upon it doesn't even realize it until it's too late for another character.
